I think its just paper talk, no way has he got the finance to buy West Ham United. If he did, he would have bought it for 85mil when he had the chance and not just the 5mil he invested! |

Reply with quote | #3 | I wouldn't mind who is going to own West Ham. We need $ injection into the club now! |

Jim, what do you think of the David Sullivan/David Gold story? |

Reply with quote | #5 | Again, I think its newspaper talk. Sullivan has stated he has not approached WHU nor has WHU approached him. He is taking a short break and only then will he make a decision on who, when or if he will invest in another footbal club. He said if he did invest in a club and the opportunity arose, WHU would be his dream but the financial aspect must also be right.
Personnally I don't think Sullivan or Gold would do WHU any good, they had the chance at Birmingham and it didn't happen so why should WHU be any different. We need the 20% shareholder of Queens Park Rangers, he is by far the richest person in the EPL, reported to have a 250 billion GBP empire! |
