Reply with quote | #3 | Don't get too carried away guys, Air Asia are struggling at the moment and have already put a hold on plans to take the 10 long haul aircraft they ordered last year. They are current loaning Air Mauritus planes to fly too and fro London because they cannot commit. The last time I spoke to Tony he said dispite his love of the Hammers and desire to be part of it, the financial side was a long way off with his present commitments, that is unless one of his mates is going to join the consortium.
Stranger things have happened!!! |

Reply with quote | #4 | Tony Fernandez (or Air Asia) on their own obviously may not have sufficient funds for such a takeover, but we in a consortium of wealthy businessmen from both sides of the Atlantic, this is not impossible.
Latest news from London is taking about a 2-weeks time frame.

Reply with quote | #5 | Well, it all seems speculation about Tony Fernandez, but it would be nice to have a Malaysian guy as a shareholder. Not sure how Bowe of the USA and Tony have been linked up in all this, any ideas.
Also, another Tony might be involved................Mr Cottee, he tried once before with an American consortium, in Browns time. |

No, they won't changed the national anthem. But WHU fans will now sing 'God save the Queen' instead of 'Blowing Bubbles' during games and since one have to stand when you sing the national anthem, WHU will have to dismantle all the seats around the ground and this will help increase the capacity back to 45,000. Without seats, perhaps match tickets will be cheaper than 50 quid and thus our Tony can afford to go and see a match. |
